Beggared tells the story of a privileged white South African whose life collapses into homelessness. Forced to survive on the streets with only a begging board, he finds refuge in a township where the spirit of Ubuntu – a philosophy of shared humanity – challenges his racist indoctrination. This deeply personal, transformative journey is filled with humour, heartbreak and hope, exploring themes of privilege, resilience and redemption.
